How to Stay Motivated in Your Job Search

June 20, 2016

Job searching can be frustrating at times. Maha Al Amin, a newcomer from Sudan and graduate of ACCES Employment’s Human Resources Connections program, shares some advice on staying positive and setting goals for yourself on your journey to finding employment in Canada.

“What will help you survive no matter how long or short it takes, is your focus and optimism.”

Surround yourself with individuals who will help you stay in the right mindset: positive and achievement focused. You may also find other benefits as you embark on your job search – you may land a great volunteer opportunity, or meet a new mentor or professional contact. Keep an open mind throughout your job search and you will be surprised at how much the world will open up for you.

Hear from Maha firsthand.
